We often get the question why Tesla drivers have to enter their credentials to use our app. We are happy to explain this to you: As we work together with Tesla, Jedlix is able to directly control Teslas after the driver gives his or her permission to do so. After your permission, Jedlix receives a token from the Tesla API. We encrypt this token, and store it. This token is like a key that is used to communicate with your Tesla. You do not need to worry about safety as we only store the token, not your credentials. We need this token to retrieve data (your battery status) and to send commands (start and stop charging), so your vehicle can start Smart Charging.
